Membership society of writers related to the seminary

Traditionally, also this year in February, an annual meeting of membership society of Rusyn writers of Slovensko will take place. It will be related to a following seminary of the Carpathorusyn studies that have been functioning already for the tenth year.

Each year’s meeting of the society is organized by the Association of Rusyn writers of Slovensko, Academy of Rusyn culture in the Slovak Republic and the Institute of Rusyn language and culture of the University in Presov. The meeting will take place on 22 February 2017 in Consilium maius room of the Presov university, 17 November street in Presov, it starts at 9:30 AM.

After the meeting of writers, continuation of the programme is planned for 11:00AM. The Rusyn institute invites for the 40th seminary of Carpathorusyn studies and a presentation of the recent edition of fiction in Rusyn. Within the programme, also a lecture will be included. Mgr Michal Pavlich, an internal postgraduate of the Centre of languages and cultures of national minorities – the Institute of Rusyn language and culture of the Presov University, will give a lecture entitled Red shore by Lyudmila Shandalova.

The first seminary of Carpathorusyn studies that is always related to the society of writers, is interesting for a big audience also because at the meeting you can purchase all the most recent editions within Rusyn literature that were published a year before. The seminary is also attended by authors who sign their books for the participants.
