A charity concert will take place on 29 January 2017 in the Legnica Culture Centre during which money will be raised for reconstruction of the Orthodox presbytery in Ługi. There, priest Artur Graban used to live with his family. It burnt down on 30 November 2016.
During the concert, the following artists will perform: Kyczera ensemble and childrens’ ensemble Kyczerka, a group from the IV High School in Legnica, Roman Hawran, CoolBaba and Nadija ensemble. The concert is organized by Kyczera ensemble from Legnica. It starts at 4PM.
The presbytery was built 17 years ago by priest Artur Graban, the parish priest in Ługi and Brzeg. As a result of the fire, the family lost the possessions of their whole life. Documentation for various projects, archive documents, computers with data, as well as souvenirs collected since 1999 were stored in the building. Inhabitants of Ługi and the priest’s friends have started to gather the most necessary stuff straight away. Thanks to them, the family got a temporary shelter. A fund-raiser was organized on Facebook for the presbytery’s reconstruction. Until 9 January, more than 206 thousand zlotys was raised.
Priest Artur Graban is the manager of Lemko Tower folk ensemble, as well as the Chairman of the Lemko Tower Association.
